Hexagon Metrology invites users to the “Hexagon 2012” International Conference

The second annual conference will be held June 4-7 at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas

Cobham, United Kingdom, November, 16th, 2011 - Hexagon AB, leading global provider of design, measurement and visualization technologies, will host its second annual international conference, Hexagon 2012, June 4-7 at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Bringing together users from Hexagon Metrology, Intergraph®, ERDAS, Leica Geosystems and NovAtel the Hexagon 2012 agenda promises attendees hands-on training courses, interactive technology demonstrations and exhibits and unlimited networking opportunities. As the conference will bring together users from all Hexagon group companies the event will be split into several tracks in order for users to follow sessions aligned within their industry.

The Metrology Track at Hexagon 2012 will include insightful presentations by industry experts, visionary keynote presentations on industry trends and compelling customer testimonials from industries such as Automotive, Aerospace, Energy and so much more. Other events will include hands-on software workshops, developers feed-back sessions and round table discussions.

Hexagon Metrology’s First International Conference Attracts Top Shelf Speaker Lineup

Conference sessions feature broad array of metrology users, techniques and applications

North Kingstown, Rhode Island – May 2, 2011 – Hexagon Metrology announced today its confirmed speaker lineup for the first international conference Metrology @ Hexagon 2011, being held from June 6 -9, 2011 at the Orlando World Center Marriott Resort in Orlando, FL. Customer application stories and educational presentations will be delivered by leading companies including Ford Motor Company, the Volkswagon Group, Northrup Grumman and motorsport teams Red Bull Technologies and Hendrick Motorsports. In addition to expert users discussing dimensional measurement techniques, Hexagon Metrology will also conduct sessions focused on measurement trends and applications in industrial metrology for aerospace, automotive, alternative energy, and more. On Wednesday June 8th, Northrop Grumman will present ‘Taming the World of Portable CMMs’ which addresses two major topics affecting PCMM usage: the Coordinate Measurement Society’s proposal for accredited operator certification, and ASTM Committee E57’s progress towards developing standards related to 3D imaging. A session highlighting new CMM standards will immediately follow, presented by the University of North Carolina. On Wednesday afternoon, ‘New and Improved Metrology for Wind Energy Systems’ will be given by BIMAQ (The Bremen Institute for Metrology). Another session, presented by Technodigit, will be dedicated to PC-DMIS inspection software power users and will cover reverse engineering topics.

The overall Hexagon conference agenda contains informational sessions dedicated to various industries. Ford Tool & Gage to serve Wisconsin and Upper Michigan territories
