Service Agreement Options

Option 1 FULL COVERAGE CMM MAINTENANCE AGREEMENT (CMA)

  • Repair Parts & Labor
  • Preventative Maintenance
  • Annual Certification/Calibration
  • Transportation Charges

Certification or Calibration

Hexagon Metrology will certify or calibrate the CMM to the machine specification. This will include adjusting squareness, linear, volumetric and repeatability to the B89 or VDI/VDE performance standard.

Preventative Maintenance

Brown & Sharpe will perform the recommended maintenance at the time of calibration or certification. A detailed checklist for the specific CMM will be provided to the customer.

Response Time

The normal response time for on-site repairs is 48 hours from the time the call is received. Shorter response time is available in some geographic areas of North America and can be quoted.

On-site service work is completed Monday through Friday.
Note: 24/7 coverage is available in some areas of North America and can be quoted.

Environment

The environment is the responsibility of the Customer and should meet the specification.  Hexagon Metrology can quote special rooms and vibration damping systems as required.


Option 2 BLOCK SERVICE AGREEMENT (BSA)

  • Predetermined Labor & Material Cost Increments
  • Annual or Semi-Annual Preventative Maintenance
  • Annual Calibrations or Certifications
  • Transportation Charges

Increments of $5K and upward can be purchased at a great discounted price rate.
Labor increments purchased will be on an annual basis and can be renewed if expended during the annual agreement.

Upon commencement of the BSA, one (1) calibration or certification and one (1) Preventative Maintenance (PM) is recommended.

Option 3 Flat-Rate Certification/Calibration (FRC)

  • No surprise charges
  • Easier to write a PO... You used to have to give a NTE (not to exceed) amount – now all charges included in one flat rate!
